 Sean Bartlett - Corps Director, Visual Arranger and Brass Caption Head

Sean began his marching experience with Edinboro University, where he spent two years as a member of the marching band. Sean’s drum corps career started in 2004 with the DCA World Champion Empire Statesmen. Sean spent 5 years as a marching member at Statesmen playing; Soprano, Mellophone, Euphonium, and Contra. In 2009, Sean was on Visual Staff and played Lead Trumpet for the Rochester Crusaders. Sean has also played Lead Soprano with the Erie Thunderbirds since 2006. In 2011, Sean was on Brass Staff for the White Sabers from Dansville, NY and was a soloist and the backfield Drum Major. In 2012, Sean will be the Visual Caption Head and Visual Designer for Elements Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Sean is very excited to be apart of Lake Effect and is looking forward to bringing competitive Drum Corps back to the Erie area.
 

Vincent Lucente - Assistant Director, Percussion Arranger and Caption Head

Vince Lucente is currently the Intervention Specialist and Assistant Band Director, Percussion Ensemble Director, and Percussion Caption Head at Ursuline High School, in Youngstown, Ohio. He serves as the Assistant Director and Percussion Caption Head for Lake Effect Drum & Bugle Corps as a member of DCA and is the Front Ensemble Tech for Marietta High School. Vince is also the Director for Elements Indoor Performance Ensemble as a member of WGI. His teachers include Janet Pemberton, Chris Kimble, John Peplowski, Rob Ferguson, Ron Coulter, Dr. Glenn Schaft, and Tom Freer. Vince has performed with the Youngstown State University Percussion Ensemble, Marching Pride, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps, and Elements Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Vince also teaches privately to students in the Austintown, Berlin Center, Girard, Hubbard, Liberty, Struthers, Warren, and Youngstown Area.

Chris Wise - Brass Arranger

Chris's drum corps involvement started with several years on lead soprano with the Empire Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps including their 5th DCA world championship in 2004. He has performed on lead trumpet with both Colts in 2007, and the 2008 DCI Champions, Phantom Regiment. Chris has taught trumpet lessons out of his private studio and instructed local marching bands for several years. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Mercyhurst College and has begin his Master of Music degree in Performance at Cleveland State University. Chris has been with Lake Effect since 2011 and has served as Brass Caption Head and Arranger. Currently Chris is on the visual staff with the Empire Statesmen and a Brass Consultant for the Lake Effect Drum and Bugle Corps.
